Interpria is committed to providing a reliable, respectful, and smooth experience for both visitors and interpreters. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, no-shows, and interpreter absences are handled on our platform.

Interpria provides a standardized, automated cancellation, refund, and no-show timeline within its software infrastructure. By booking through the platform, both Visitors and Tour Guides and Heritage Interpreters agree to abide by these system-enforced timelines. While Interpria's software facilitates these automated rules, the final processing of funds remains subject to the direct payment setup between the parties, and Interpria assumes no liability for refund or no-show disputes.


1. For Visitors & Interpreters

1.1 Direct payments outside the platform are prohibited.

1.2 Minimum Number of Visitors Requirement

If the minimum number of visitors is not met, the interpreter may cancel the session. In such cases:

  • Cancellation at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time: visitors will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellation within 24 hours of the scheduled start time: visitors will still receive a full refund and may leave a rating and review for the interpreter.

2. For Visitors

2.1 Visitor Cancellations

Visitors may cancel their booking under the following conditions:

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time are not eligible for a refund.

2.2 Visitor No-Show Policy

Repeated no-shows disrupt interpreter schedules and affect platform reliability.

  • A visitor who fails to attend a confirmed booking (no-show) is not eligible for a refund.
  • If a visitor repeatedly fails to show up for confirmed bookings, Interpria may temporarily or permanently suspend the visitor’s account.

3. For Interpreters

3.1 Interpreter Cancellations

Tour Guides and Heritage Interpreters may cancel bookings under the following conditions:

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time: visitors will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time: visitors will receive a full refund and may leave a rating and review.

3.2 Interpreter No-Show Policy

If an interpreter fails to attend a confirmed session without reasonable explanation:

  • Visitors may contact Interpria to request a full refund. Visitors also can rate and leave a review.
  • Interpria may take enforcement actions, including:
    • Issuing a warning
    • Temporarily or permanently suspending the interpreter's account in serious or repeated cases

4. Updates to Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Interpria may update or modify this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time.
  • Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
