Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: January 2026

Interpria is committed to providing a reliable, respectful, and smooth experience for both visitors and interpreters. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, no-shows, and interpreter absences are handled on our platform.

Because our online payment system has not yet launched, Interpria does not collect payments through the platform at this time. As a result, traditional refunds do not apply. Instead, this policy focuses on user responsibilities and account conduct.

1. For Visitors

1.1 Free Cancellations

Visitors may cancel their booking at any time. There are no cancellation fees.

1.2 Notify the Interpreter Early

To ensure interpreters can manage their schedules and avoid inconvenience, please notify your interpreter as soon as you know you cannot attend.

1.3 No-Show Policy

Repeated no-shows disrupt interpreter schedules and affect platform reliability.

If a visitor fails to show up for confirmed bookings multiple times, Interpria may suspend the visitor’s account.

1.4 Minimum Number of Visitors Requirement

If the minimum number of visitors is not met, the interpreter may cancel the session. In such cases, the interpreter must notify all affected visitors no later than 6 hours before the scheduled session start time.

1.5 Payments Made Directly to the Interpreter

As Interpria does not currently process payments:

  • Any payment made directly to an interpreter is not refundable through Interpria.
  • Any payment disputes or refund requests must be handled directly between the visitor and the interpreter.

2. For Interpreters

2.1 Interpreter Cancellations

If an interpreter cannot attend a confirmed booking, they must notify the visitor as early as possible.

2.2 Minimum Number of Visitors Requirement

  • If the minimum number of visitors is not met, the interpreter has the right to cancel the session.
  • Any such cancellation decision must be made and communicated to all affected visitors no later than 6 hours before the scheduled session start time.

2.3 Interpreter No-Show Policy

If an interpreter fails to appear for a confirmed session without reasonable explanation, visitors should contact Interpria.

Interpria may take actions including, but not limited to:

  • Issuing a warning
  • Temporarily or permanently suspending the interpreter’s account

2.4 No Refund Obligations Through Interpria

Because Interpria does not handle payments at this time, interpreters are responsible for refunding or resolving any payment issues directly with visitors if necessary.

3. When Online Payments Launch

Once Interpria activates its online payment system:

  • Cancellation windows and fees may be introduced
  • Refund eligibility will be clearly displayed during booking
  • Direct payments outside the platform will be prohibited
  • This policy will be updated accordingly

Users will be notified in advance of any material changes.
